Shoeless Joe Jackson was one of the greatest hitters in baseball history before he was banished from the game for his role in the 1919 Black Sox Scandal. He sued the Chicago White Sox for breach of contract and the case went to trial in January 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (SABR-Rucker Archive)
